Milan Fashion Week Fall 2012

Milan Menswear is over… and unlike the previous seasons I didn’t have the time or energy to post daily about every collection. That being said I couldn’t let it slide without a mention on IBL.

So here are a few pictures with some of my favorite looks/pieces.

FW 2012 Burberry Prorsum

Christopher Bailey mixed shades of gray with bright colors, classic suits with owl and cat-face sweaters (which I didn’t like btw) and played with a lot of accessories, the studded gloves being my favorites.

FW 2012 Dolce & Gabbana

Domenico and Stefano put on quite a show. The catwalk looked exactly like the interior of a Opera House and the collection reminded everybody of the Victorian era.

FW 2012 Gucci

And finally Gucci, Frida Giannini played with a lot of floral patterns but kept a minimal and masculine look for the new fall collection.

Versace for H&M Fall 2011

Let the madness begin!

Last night in New York, Donatella Versace put on quite a show! A completely transformed Pier 57 on Manhattan’s West Side Highway, received guests such as Mark Ronson, Blake Lively, Selma Blair, Stephen Dorff (to name a few) plus many editors and fashion bloggers. Nicki Minaj and Prince performed for the audience and minutes after midnight the curtains to the shopping area were pulled back and everybody hit the racks…

Back to Romania, starting November 17th the Versace for H&M collection will be available for purchase at Unirea Shopping Center and Baneasa Shopping City, Bucharest. Will you be there??

Ana Locking Spring 2012 Madrid Fashion Week °2

If in the previous post you could see a selection of my favorite dresses from Ana Locking‘s SS 2012 collection, this one’s all about menswear.

Once again Ana sent on the runway an amazing collection and one of my favorites from this season’s edition of Madrid Fashion Week. Under Beauty could be described as colorful, fresh, young… basically everything that you expect from any of her collections. Inspired by nature, Under Beauty features a variety of floral prints, my favorite: the small pink roses with the little bugs (I would love to own that shirt, or the tee, I’m not picky).

Victorio & Lucchino Spring 2012 Madrid Fashion Week

The FW 2011 Victorio & Lucchino collection was the first runway show I attended in Madrid last season, and also one of my favorites, so obviously it’s something very dear to me.

The SS 2012 collection presented yesterday by the Spanish duo was amazing, just like their previous efforts. I really wouldn’t mind having in my closet every single piece from this collection! Oh, and even though this is basically a menswear blog I had to post some of the dressed, they’re perfect.

Adolfo Dominguez Spring 2012 Madrid Fashion Week

The Spanish designers are well knows for their eccentric, colorful and kinda over the top (in a good way) collections. So, being unfamiliar with his work, Adolfo Dominguez‘s SS 2012 collection left me kinda surprised.

Featuring a relaxed and cozy silhouette for summer, a lovely pastel color palette and with a sporty feeling to it, this is one of my favorite collections presented so far.

Posted some highlights below. Love the sweater with the fireflies!

Roberto Verino Spring 2012 Madrid Fashion Week

The 54th edition of Madrid Fashion Week started yesterday and even though I couldn’t make it to Spain this season, decided to post some highlights from my favorite shows.

One of the most famous Spanish models, Jon Kortajarena, opened and closed Roberto Verino‘s show. My favorite look: the light beige knitted sweater.

Lucian Broscatean Spring 2012

This is (I don’t know why) the first time I’m writing about Lucian Broscatean. A few days ago, for the second time, a small group of Romanian designers presented their collections during Berlin Fashion Week. Inverted Perspective, Lucian’s SS 2012 collection was the first to hit the runway (selection of menswear posted below).

Light fabrics, dynamic textures, inverted geometric forms that become draped volumes, are the key elements in Lucian’s collection. Enjoy and tell me what do you think?

Lanvin Spring 2012

Last post about Paris Fashion Week and then we’re moving to Berlin! Another favorite of mine was without a doubt Lanvin (I can totally see Chris Martin rocking any of the looks posted below). From nuances of gray and navy, to bright colors, from leather to synthetic fabrics, Alber Elbaz has once again created an amazing collection. Enjoy!

Hermès Spring 2012

I’m back! Had to take a few weeks off just to sit and relax, the last couple of months have been crazy. I know it’s been a while since my last post about Paris Fashion Week but I had to update IBL with this collection. Hermès, as always, was one of my favorite shows. Love the simplicity, the accessories, the color palette… basically everything. Highlights below.
