Strong Suits
Okay, this is a lazy post, I still have to pass 2 exams so I don’t have the time to write something interesting. Since here are at least like 35°C I thought to post some swimsuits, because right now all I want is to lay by the pool with a drink in my hand and that, unfortunately, isn’t going to happen for at least 2 weeks!! Details Magazine in its June-July number turned to photographer Matthias Vriens-McGrath to help them capture what everybody wants to do when outside is so hot you have to take a shower every 2 hours. The editorial is entitled Strong Suits, with Armani, Prada, D&G, Versace and Louis Vuitton giving a helping hand with some amazing swimwear, below you can see the results.

A Vision’s Just a Vision
Apparently I developed a thing for colors these last few days… maybe because it’s summer, warm and all that stuff but I really think I’m going to leave the neutral colors for fall. The Guardian presents its point of view in this matter with the help of photographer Nicky Emmerson and model Jeremy Young. And their vision it’s beautifully built around one of the strongest color – red. Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein and Prada lend a helping hand in creating the amazing editorial featured below, as red items are the only things that stand out in this vision.

Xavier Samuel for GQ Magazine
In the pages of this month’s GQ Magazine and in the new film from the Twilight Saga, Eclipse, you will most definitely get a glimpse of Xavier Samuel. The promotional tour for the 3rd installment already started so you will see this kind of photoshoots for weeks to come in the majority of magazines, hey what the audience wants, the audience gets. In Eclipse, Xavier plays Riley, a newborn vampire and in june’s edition of GQ he models some really cool summer suits. (and they’re all under 400$)

You’re on the poster for the new Twilight film, Eclipse. How did this happen?
I did the audition from Sydney. I put the audition down on tape and sent it over.
Actors are always putting themselves on tape. But they never actually get the role that way!
I’ve been doing that for quite a while – doing these auditions from Australia and sending them out. I don’t know whose desk they land on, or if anyone even watches them. To hear back was a surprise. I flew to Vancouver on a maybe. It was me and four other guys. And I was shooting before I knew it.
Were you a fan of the Twilight series? Tell the truth.
I watched the first film on the plane, on the way over to Vancouver. Then I went straight to the bookstore.
Funny. You play Riley, a hungry newborn vampire out on a rampage. Full disclosure: I read the book, and Riley’s only on one page.
Yes, I was flipping through the book, thinking: Where’s Riley? He’s whittled down to one line. But in the film, we venture into the world of Riley and watch him assembling this newborn army. It’s more action-packed. And it gives me something more to do, thankfully.
Is it hard to be the new kid in a franchise like this?
It is a bit like the first day of school. But I felt like part of the family.

Silviu Tolu for FHM Magazine
Another post about Romanian model Silviu Tolu, reuniting once again with fashion photographer Tibi Clenci, Silviu along with Diana Sar grace the pages of FHM Romania’s may 2010 edition. In the editorial entitled Taxi Driver styled by Ciprian Sipos the main focus is one of this season’s favorite, denim in outwear. Diesel, Neil Barrett, Zara and Pull&Bear are some of the featured labels.

Silviu Tolu for ELLE Man Magazine
This article comes a little bit late, sorry for that, but I could not let it slip away. Better late than never – that’s what everybody says!
Congratulations are in order to the team at ELLE Magazine in front with editor in chief Roxana Voloseniuc, for the amazing magazine they put out twice a year called ELLE Man. Also with this occasion, I want to congratulate Silviu Tolu for the amazing career his building outside Romania as a model. Silviu is represented by Allure Models agency and till now (he’s 19) has managed to work with big names in the industry, such as Gianfranco Ferre, Kris Van Assche, Hermès, Dior Homme and Costume National.
That being said let’s talk about the current issue with Silviu on the cover. The pictorial featured in the magazine was shot by Tibi Clenci and styled by Cristina Craciun and Dominica Margescu.
