After Hours… Ana Locking FW 2011
After Ana Locking‘s show I had the chance to visit the backstage area. I’ve seen it all, from the make-up/hairstyling department to the actual place where all the magic happens. It was a real pleasure, after watching the collection minutes earlier on the runway, to be able to actually touch the clothes and basically have that closer look. What can I say, it was just as amazing as I could possibly think off. Fell in love with those camel/blue tip shoes… they’re exquisite (such soft leather).
Few photos below from the wall, you can see part of the looks, the order the models enter the runway…
And now, if you would like to scroll a lil bit more, a few pics from the gathering that followed the show at Grey Goose The Privée area. Had the opportunity to talk a little bit with Ana and tell her how much I enjoyed the collection. She was so nice and lovely, took some pics but unfortunately my camera didn’t wanna cooperate at that moment… Below is the best one I could find.

After Hours… Davidelfin FW 2011
I am done with my coverage of the shows at Madrid Fashion Week (select the Runway category and see them all). Starting today it’s all about the parties and backstage moments.
Scroll if you wanna see a few photos from the Grey Goose Le Privée cocktail lounge that followed Davidelfin‘s show. I had the pleasure of meeting Pelayo (wearing Davidelfin of course), that kinda made my day since I’m a huge fan of his blog. Had a lovely time. Enjoy the pics!

Ana Locking Fall 2011 Madrid Fashion Week
And now, it’s my pleasure to finally present you the reason I was in Madrid to begin with. Ana Locking‘s FW 2011 collection!
“… do what you have to do and don’t worry about the reactions, whether good or bad. If the work is worth it, it will end up standing out one way or another. In the meantime, get on with working…”
From the need of constantly trying to surpass a previous achievement comes Stance. A collection born by entering a strange, enigmatic place where you never reach full satisfaction. Stance talks about taking up a standpoint, the correct one for yourself.
Well Ana definitely found hers. As I’ve already said this was one of my favorite collections from Madrid Fashion Week! And while Ana always has some of the best collections out there, with this one she really outdid herself.
A collection marked by an attraction towards structure and elegance, filled with contrasts not only between colors, but also between elements such as length and shortness, the smooth and the pleated, the light and the dark.
But enough talking, scroll down to see the lovely FW 2011 collection Stance. Enjoy!
P.S. Thank you so much for the invite! It was a real pleasure attending the show and having the chance to talk a little bit with Ana. That’s all.
Davidelfin Fall 2011 Madrid Fashion Week
One of the best collections I’ve seen this season at Madrid Fashion Week was without a doubt Davidelfin‘s Dyogenes Syndrome! The entire concept, from the choreography (created once again by Christian Boltanski), the set to the music, accessories and of course the outfits, everything was brilliantly planed and executed.
The designer describes the collection as autobiographical, a result of the overload of ideas, feelings and emotions he’s experiencing in this moment of his life. A collection made almost in its entirely in gray, white and black, the only touches of color being, his favorites, dark blue and green tones. The shoes were made especially for the show by Christian Louboutin (with 18cm high heels for the girls).
No te engaño con lo que te cuento
Porque dudas de que más es más
Es radiante el lujo del exceso
Es er glitter de las superstars.
Me abandono a las tentaciones
De la hoguera de la vanidad
Obligadas falsificaciones
Viva todo lo superficial!

I have to say I had the most wonderful time, met some amazing people and everybody was so nice. It was lovely! Special thanks to Helena Valera Guardiola for making it happen!

P.S. Saved the best for last! Make sure to return tomorrow for the articles about my two favorite collections: Ana Locking and Davidelfin. Photos from the runway, backstage and the paaarties, don’t miss them!
